Recon Free and Pro plans
Recon has two plans: Free and Pro. Both find clones of your store and prepare the reports to get them taken down. A clone is a copy of your store on another web address. Pro checks more often, checks more lookalike domains, and alerts you and your team soon after Recon finds a clone.
For prices, see the Recon listing in the Shopify App Store.

A lookalike domain is a web address with a name like yours, for example a typo of your store's name.
The Evidence pack is a printable record of one clone: its screenshot, when Recon saw it, who hosts it, and the reports you sent. It helps when a host, a payment provider or a lawyer asks for proof.
Free trial
Pro comes with a 14-day free trial. Shopify shows the trial on the plan page before you approve the charge.
Upgrade to Pro
- In Recon, open Settings.
- In the Subscription card, click Upgrade.
- Shopify opens its plan page for Recon. Choose Pro and approve the charge.

You can also click View plans on the Free plan banner on the Overview page. It opens the same Shopify page.
Pro starts as soon as you approve the charge.
Change or cancel your plan
- In Recon, open Settings.
- In the Subscription card, click Manage plan.
- On Shopify's plan page, choose Free to move down, or change how you pay for Pro.
When you move to Free:
- Recon scans every week and checks 10 lookalike domains.
- Clone alerts stop. New clones go in your summary email.
- Recon keeps the people you added and your Slack connection, but stops sending to them.
- Your cases and the reports Recon prepared stay in the app.
To stop using Recon completely, uninstall the app. See Uninstall Recon and what happens to your data.
Billing
Shopify bills you for Recon. The charge appears on your Shopify bill, with your other apps. Recon does not take card details or send its own invoices. For questions about a charge, contact Shopify support or email support@recon.bot.
